Who We Are
The Solon Robinson Elementary PTO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and
509(a)(2) public charity dedicated to supporting the students, families, and staff of Solon
Robinson Elementary School.
Our organization exists because of our school. Our mission is to enrich the lives of
Solon Robinson Elementary students and their families by fostering a strong
connection between home and school. We strive to build positive connections and
promote collaboration between home, school, and the local community.
Everything we do is centered around creating meaningful opportunities that strengthen our
school community. Simply put, we are Supporters. Culture Creators. Community
Builders.
Our Executive Board is made up entirely of volunteer Solon parents, with officer elections
held each spring.

What We Do
The PTO plans, organizes, and funds programs that build community, celebrate students
and staff, and enhance the educational experience beyond what the school budget can
provide.
Throughout the school year, we proudly coordinate and support a variety of events and
initiatives, including First Friday Birthday Sundaes, Beekeeper of the Month,
Mentor/Student Events, Family Events, Kindergarten Kick-Off, Kindergarten Signing
Day, Read-a-thon, Community Support Nights, Staff Appreciation Week, the 5th
Grade Celebration Luncheon, Bulldog Buddies Celebration Bash, Best Buddies, and
many other opportunities that bring our school community together.
Thanks to the generosity of our families, supporters, volunteers, and community partners,
we're able to create memorable experiences, recognize outstanding students and staff,
provide valuable classroom resources, and strengthen the Solon community.
Supporting Our Classrooms
The PTO is committed to supporting both students and educators.
Each Solon teacher is eligible to receive up to $175 in annual PTO reimbursement for
classroom supplies not covered by the school budget. In addition, each grade level is
provided with up to $200 annually to support grade-level projects, activities, and shared
classroom needs. School administration also has access to a $350 annual allotment to help
meet school-wide needs.
In addition, the PTO provides funding for educational programs and initiatives such as the
D.A.R.E. Program, Red Ribbon Week, NEHS, student testing snacks, school assemblies,
Field Day & Burger Bash, and two $500 Solon Alumni Scholarships awarded annually to
former Stingers continuing their education.

we'd love to have you join us.
You can support the PTO by:
● Attending our monthly PTO meetings (held the second Wednesday of each month
at 4:00 PM in the STEM Room)
● Volunteering at school events
● Serving on a committee
● Participating in Community Support Nights
● Supporting and sharing our fundraising efforts
● Donating requested items
● Sharing your ideas and talents

learn, grow, and thrive.
