School History
Solon Robinson Elementary School was named after the founder of the City of Crown Point and Lake County Indiana (1834). Solon Robinson was an author, statesman, religious leader, and political figure known throughout the state, Midwest and the nation.
Our Elementary School is a K-5 elementary with approximately 575 students and 50 staff members. Solon has received Indiana's highest award of distinction as an Indiana Four Star School multiple times and was named a Blue Ribbon School in 2018.
Solon Robinson has had a tradition of high academic performance, excellent instruction, positive-nurturing school environment, and an emphasis in the areas of science and the performing arts.
